scott oiler mount

Designed this for a friend's BMW GS800. He wanted to mount the Scott Oiler on the underside of the frame, but didn't want to pay the high price that BMW charges for the part, so I made one for him. It mounts to the frame with two cable ties passed through two inner channels and wrapped around the frame. Then, repeat this process with two more cable ties in the other two channels to secure the oiler itself. Prints well with PET-G, ABS, and PLA. I recommend using PET-G for its strength and durability. When completed, we used silicone sticky dots to add a little vibration absorption and shock resistance. Four 3mm dots were applied, two at each end on each side of the support areas. This also prevents water from getting trapped between the frame and the holder. Build settings: Layer height: 100 microns Print speed: 30 mm/s Outer shells: 3 Infill: 20% using brick or hex for added strength, which worked best Amount of material used: approximately 60 grams Time: 6.5 hours You can easily reduce the resolution and increase the print speed, but I wanted a really solid finish, and this setting achieved it perfectly. The PET-G version is strong enough to support my full weight when standing on it. I can adjust the design to fit any frame or modify the offset between the component and the frame within certain limits. Additionally, I can make modifications to fit different diameter frames for a snug fit - just let me know!
