Scotland: Montrose, statue of Bamse
sketchfab
This is a stunning statue honoring Bamse, a heroic Norwegian Sea Dog who served during World War II, proudly standing at the Port of Montrose. Located in a picturesque setting at the Port in Montrose, this remarkable statue can be easily spotted on OpenStreetMap and Google Street View. I was fortunate to receive valuable information from a kind-hearted local, who revealed that the sleek black and yellow ships visible in the background of this photo are actually Norwegian vessels, affectionately known as 'bumble bees' by the community.
