A massive point cloud of 1.1 billion points is condensed into a manageable 5 million points to facilitate upload here. This intricate data set is generated from approximately 35,000 photographs using 3DF Zephyr's capabilities. The model is constructed in 18 distinct blocks which are then merged together within 3DF utilizing carefully defined Control Points. The production time for this massive point cloud is comprised of several stages: The initial photo capture process requires around 40 hours. The sparse data processing stage demands approximately 110 hours. The dense data processing phase takes a significant 330 hours to complete. This project leverages cutting-edge computer hardware, including an i5-4590 processor, a GTX 970 graphics card, and 32GB of RAM supplemented by 224GB of virtual memory, totaling 256GB of effective 'RAM'. All files are stored on solid-state drives. The resulting textured meshes will be utilized to create detailed schematics for the area, including town plans and architectural elevations, which in turn will inform the creation of a highly accurate manual model. This model will ultimately be deployed in Virtual Reality or other real-time applications.
