Scorched Earth v2 - 8k PBR Low-poly 3D model
cgtrader
High-quality 3D model of Scorched Earth with added realistic height data across continents now available. When planning close shots, this updated version provides more accurate height details, including recognizable mountains. If height information is not crucial for your project, you can opt for the less expensive version instead. For precisely placed continents and a visible Antarctica, refer to version 3 for best results. All quads have been carefully constructed without any seams or pinching issues. Subdivisions can be easily applied without running into problems. High-resolution PBR textures (PNG) in 8k format now cover both Metal/Rough and Spec/Gloss workflows, including two preview images from the end. Separate zip files containing 4k textures sets are also included for download. Textures are based on real-world scale measurements of up to kilometers. Both V-ray and Scanline versions of the model are available. In the V-Ray version, cameras and lights are pre-installed so that identical renders can be created as seen in the preview images. Cameras and lights have been separately assigned to their own layer for effortless selection or removal purposes. A 360-degree rotation animation has been included with this release. Polycounts for different subdivision levels can be seen in wireframe preview images provided. In addition, OpenGL normal maps are available in separate zip files if required. Textures can be extracted directly into the same folder as the MAX file to minimize download times. Switching from 8k to 4k textures is made easy by simply overwriting the corresponding files in the main folder; these will automatically be loaded in MAX. The ScorchedEarth_v2_textures_Gloss_8k.zip archive contains a set of 7 maps – Diffuse, Normal, Reflection, Glossiness, Height, Specular and Emissive maps, all measured at 8192x8192px in PNG format, adding up to a total size of 395 MB. In contrast, the ScorchedEarth_v2_textures_Gloss_4k.zip archive includes an equivalent set of maps with lower resolution: 4096x4096px in PNG, resulting in a total size of 130 MB. Similarly, ScorchedEarth_v2_textures_Metal_8k.zip contains BaseColor, Normal, Height, Roughness, Metalic and Emissive maps at 8192x8192px PNG format for a total of 207MB. The corresponding version with lower resolution is ScorchedEarth_v2_textures_Metal_4k.zip which includes only 5 maps (BaseColor, Normal, Height, Roughness and Metalic) at 4096x4096px PNG for an overall size of 55 MB. Preview renders have been made using the V-Ray engine and an 8k Spec/Gloss textures set along with a mesh that has been subdivided three times. The Standard Scanline scene available contains no pre-installed cameras; it is limited to a simple light setup. Exported formats including FBX, OBJ, DAE, and 3DS do not contain the non-subdivided model or its accompanying textures.
