Scope Spacer and Stock extension for NV use (Pard007)
thingiverse
After I saw someone using a NV on a scope I realized that two main parts are missing and quite hard to get. The spacer of the mount to fit one mount for different scopes. You can buy ridiculously bad quality plastic rings for a huge amount of money, now you can print your own. Next is the stock extension. I use it to make the stock of my rifle longer, because I am taller than the man I got it from and buying a new stock is simply not in range for me. This extension can also be used to solve the issue with a NV attached to the end of the scope. Spacer for night vision adapter to put on a scope: To mount a NV-device on a scope there is a mount that has a given diameter. If your scope does not have that exact diameter there is a spacer needed to put in between to ensure a tight grip. It works with a PARD NV 007 for example. It is customizable in: - height - diameter (to suit your mounting adapters diameter) - gap (how much flexibility do you want?) - rim (the rim is at the front preventing the ring from wandering around) Default values: height: 30mm (plus rim, 30 gives you 30mm of usable surface, so 32 overall length) diameter: 42mm (change to suit yours, at rim it is 2mm wider) gap: 10 (change up to your preferences) rim: 2mm (2 lasts longer. Tried it with 1, but 2 seems better for me) How to set up: Measure your device and enter values. If you still cannot get it to work you may want to think if you should really operate something complicated like a weapon..... ;-) Stock extensions: This is just to extend the length of the stock when a NV is mounted on the back of your scope. Needed for this: velcro tape 20mm wide (one side at the end of the stock, other at the extension) Velcro belt 50mm wide (1x length 40cm and 1x length 20cm. One to wrap around the stock end, one to get the extension in place, both parts of the velcro need to be sewed together. Glueing will not last) See the picture for details. Looks rickety? YES. Will it work? HELL YESSS. If someone doubts this might work, try it. It sure works for me. Comments welcome.
