Scope Protective Caps
thingiverse
I made adjustments to the caps' design to increase its diameter to 47.5mm and reduce its side length to 38.94mm. The initial prototype featured small clips for the hinge that were prone to breaking, so I opted for a hole through the center with screws on either side, which proved to be an incredibly effective solution. Minimal sanding was required to fine-tune the inner design, ensuring a snug fit for the lid. I made provisions for a 6x3mm magnet in the lid to prevent it from becoming too loose and considered adding a small nail inside the body as a backup measure. However, after carefully sanding the design, I found that the fit was perfect, making additional reinforcements unnecessary.
