I really miss being able to shift gears on my scooter. So I created a simple handbrake for my Yamaha NMax. It's designed for light-to-medium braking force because excessive pressure can damage the components. If you need stronger brakes, shorten the length by 5mm and it will be incredibly powerful. However, never keep the brake engaged for an extended period (> week). The design also fits my other bike (Triumph Street Triple), but I think a front tire handbrake would be impractical.
