Scoopa Doop Plant Barrier
thingiverse
I have a 75 gallon bow front tank with a back, left corner sump return, and have had problems with floating plants getting sucked into the return. They clog the intake, and anything that gets down into the sump just sits there and rots. No more. Now lots of plant cover for Garth without it clogging the filter. The water current creates a gyre in front of the barrier, causing any plants that get close to be scooped into the water current and pushed back toward the other end of the tank. Should improve light distribution for them as well. I printed this in TPU so it would be flexible. I have heard that TPU "should" be fine for aquarium use. I have a pile of carbon in the filter too. If I find any negative effects, I'll remove this design.
