Daniel Muirhead, Retrospective 2013-2020 Subject: Location: Date of capture: Camera: Photo count: Flickr album: Original capture purpose: This photogrammetry reconstruction was generated from a collection of photographs taken between 2013 and 2020. SfM: Structure from Motion algorithms were applied to extract 3D geometry from the images. MVS: Multi-View Stereo matching techniques were used to build a dense point cloud. Meshing: A triangulated mesh was created to represent the reconstructed surface. Texturing: The model was textured using high-resolution photographs taken during the original capture. Additional processing: The model was scaled to real-world dimensions and optimized for viewing in Sketchfab VR, referencing: Notes: Unfortunately, this model experienced a crash-to-desktop issue in Metashape at the texturing stage due to an unknown anomaly. To resolve this problem, I uploaded the 13 million point cloud (PLY file format) directly. External links:
