SCM - Subsea Control Module
grabcad
This is a rough replica of a subsea control module. The dimensions are not accurate to real scale. This is the brain of a Subsea XT-tree. The main task is to controll the flow of the oil from reservoar and detect any error under production. (The protection cap is off, as clearly seen in the picture) Front:Solenoid valves - an electromechanically operated valve that controls the hydraulics in a subsea tree)Back (black sylinder): The computer (inside 2x motherboards) - communicates with commands and signals from onshore to seabed.Left and right side:Pressure tanksPs: This was part of a School project on my first semester at HVL. Thats why I have implemented HVL - høgskolen på vestlandet (English - Western Norway University of Applied Sciences).
