Sclip; small, simple and snug filament clip
prusaprinters

Why?

Yet another filament clip…..why? Because the existing ones didn't entirely suit my need. They would come loose or would just not hold my filament tight enough. Or they did not fit when the spools were full. Maybe it's just my spools that are thin and loaded to the brim, I don't know, but these small, simple and snug clips work fine on the various spools that I have.

What?

I opted for the following properties for the clip:

Small

Snug (both on the spool and the filament)

Simple

Varying spool widths (to a degree), but they work best with spools without a ridge at the end (so eSun for instance)

So there's 3 versions, which only differ in the width of the opening. I marked them so you can print all types and still know which is which afterwards!

1 mark → 3.2mm opening

2 marks → 3.5mm opening

3 marks → 3.8mm opening

How?

PETG (haven't tested PLA, might work but not sure if flexible enough)

0.2mm layers

Hope you like it!
