Here's a solution for storing your scissors on an IKEA IVAR shelf, with some modifications that should work for you. I'm attaching a scissor holder or holster made specifically for this purpose, which is pretty versatile and will easily fit onto any IVAR type shelf. The unit holds firmly in place using the three metal pins included in the original shelve system kit - six by forty millimeter ones, to be specific. Just make sure that your scissors aren't one of those super-long or super-large weird shapes - most standard types should work great. But I'd love to hear how it turns out if yours do end up fitting.
