Scion USB plate for USB extension

I recently installed an Android Auto head unit in my 2008 Scion xD, so I needed to extend the USB connector to a suitable location. The adapter I designed will work with most generic USB extension cables available, making it highly versatile. I mounted it in place of the now useless factory iPod connector, but as shown in the pictures, it can fit in any available blank space - approximately 33mm long by 24mm wide. I designed this for my Scion xD, but it should also fit other Scion and Toyota vehicles with ease. The pictures clearly show how to assemble this adapter, making it simple to install. If the clip doesn't work for your intended application, you can simply use a nylon tie wrap inserted in the slots to keep the extension in place - or if you prefer, apply some glue to secure it.
