Kids Learn About Human Body Systems The human body is made up of many systems that work together to keep us alive and healthy. Each system has its own special job to do. 1. The Nervous System - It helps us think, learn, and move. - It sends messages through the brain. 2. The Circulatory System - It carries blood throughout our body. - It brings oxygen and nutrients to all parts of our body. 3. The Respiratory System - It helps us breathe in oxygen and out carbon dioxide. - It brings air into our lungs, where oxygen is absorbed into the bloodstream. 4. The Digestive System - It breaks down food into energy for our bodies. - It absorbs nutrients from the food we eat. 5. The Muscular System - It helps us move and maintain posture. - It enables us to walk, run, jump, and even dance! 6. The Skeletal System - It provides support and protection for our body. - It helps us stand up straight and walk around. 7. The Integumentary System - It protects our body from harm. - It keeps us safe from germs and infections. 8. The Endocrine System - It produces hormones that help control our body's functions. - It regulates growth, development, and reproduction. 9. The Urinary System - It removes waste products from our body. - It helps keep our body clean and healthy. 10. The Reproductive System - It helps us have babies. - It produces hormones that control our reproductive cycle. The human body is an amazing machine!
