Human-Crafted Assets Used to Achieve Realistic Ship Models. Textures were created using Substance Painter, combining PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials for enhanced realism. No complex Blender materials were utilized, making it possible to replicate results with other renderers. A total of 14 texture sets are included, each containing four maps: base color/albedo, roughness, metalness, and normal maps. Texture sizes vary from 1K to 4K. The ship's intricate details and greebles at the top are combined into three parts, necessitating the use of three texture sets. The Model's Geometry and Topology were designed with ease of use in mind, employing only polygonal quads and tris to avoid non-planar quads (ngons). All surfaces of plates and panels on the ship utilize mesh, obviating the need for normal or bump maps. Instead, these textures are reserved for fine details such as scratches and minor bumps, which require accurate normal map representation. The Metric system was adopted for precise dimensioning: the vessel measures 571.45 meters in length, 125.45 meters in width, and 102.63 meters in height. The entire model comprises sixty-six objects, with small topographical details combined into three distinct entities.
