Here's how you can modify the following item for use with this thing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:33097 , It should also fit this thing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:551459 This is a printed watertight container designed for taking experiments underwater using the ThunderTiger Neptune SB-1 RC submarine. You can think of it as an upgrade to this thing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:128122 Where you actually had to use a Kinder Surprise Mega Egg to make it watertight initially. However, the problem was that version one worked too well - once you closed the container using the harness inside from the egg, it became almost impossible to open again. I had to cut it open with a knife eventually to fix this issue. Here are the Print Settings you'll need: - Rafts: Don't bother setting anything - Supports: Don't worry about these either - Infill: 30% will do just fine After printing, Just give the exterior a light coating using acetone and a brush - or, if you have access to it, use an acetone vapor bath to ensure all holes get sealed properly. Now add some liquid rubber (latex) on the bottom piece where the upper piece attaches for double protection. You'll also need to insert M3 bolts into the holes of the top part Take the 6 pairs of nuts and M3 bolts we provided earlier and use them to attach electronics, and finally screw the top and bottom pieces together. Lastly, Make sure you print this item with a 30% infill at least and in ABS plastic, preferably. Now take the exterior piece you coated with acetone and brush it gently with acetone once more for extra protection. Once again add some liquid rubber to the ring of the bottom half Next insert the M3 bolts into their respective holes in the top section Follow that by inserting nuts into the side openings on the lower part of the thing At last, get two 5mm copper tubes and glue them into place in the top hole for fitting wires or attaching sensors. Insert it carefully in your submarine's tank, turn the thing on and go have some fun.
