Sci-Fi Faux Barrel for Dart Zone Stryker
thingiverse
This is a custom-made barrel for a Dart Zone Stryker. Instead of fitting into the existing barrel housing like most other conventional barrel attachments, it replaces the entire barrel housing part altogether; you will need to dismantle the blaster to attach it. On the plus side, that means it will not come out unless you want it to, and will look sleek and mostly flush with the blaster.I have no idea if it will fit on a Nexus Pro. I wouldn't count on it, and it probably wouldn't look good anyways. This barrel will NOT benefit your blaster's performance, but it will likely not hamper it either. The inner diameter of the faux barrel is large enough that darts should not scrape against it. With that being said, if you have ANY issues with warping on your printer, you may have problems with the barrel not fitting perfectly straight (I did). In that case, you could sand the end down and level it with tape (for thickness)The parallelogram-shaped holes were meant to mimic those along the side of the actual blaster, and the piece of plastic along the bottom of the barrel continues the priming handle's rail. When I paint it I will post photos of how it looks, because I intend to paint that piece of plastic the same color as the body of the blaster, not the barrel.Included in the files is a small cap tube piece, it is an optional print. It can be painted orange and used as the orange tip required by law on toy blasters, if you do not want to paint the barrel itself.ABOUT THE FAUX BARREL UNDERNEATH:Its inside diameter is the same as that of a nerf dart, and it can accomodate a full length dart or two half lengths. The air channel is connected to the main barrel's, so if you run out of ammo and need an extra shot, plug the main barrel with your finger and you can fire one more out of it. Use it if you want, but keep in mind the risk of accidentally shooting your finger or damaging your blaster (Mine is modified with a reduced spring tension, so dry-firing is not as much of an issue for me).I plan on someday making an alternative underbarrel that houses a laser pointer. When/if I model it, I will put it on here.Have any modification requests? Contact me in the comments. I am active on Thingiverse. If you want to modify the design yourself, I can try to provide the original Tinkercad schematic on request.Update: Added second barrel extension file, thank you j-mez for the idea. If you are using an internal brass or steel barrel for your Stryker and want to fit this cosmetic barrel over it, print the file ending with "FITSTUBE". This file also removes the airway that goes to the second underbarrel, as it would be useless with a metal barrel.(you will need to make your metal barrel something like 4.4 inches longer than the aluminum barrel that comes with the blaster if you want it to meet the end of the cosmetic barrel perfectly)Update: Added third and fourth barrel extension files, thank you Ultra-Novva for the idea. These barrels SHOULD fit a Worker Scar Barrel extension inside them. The widened hole at the barrel's mouth is .76in diameter, and .75in deep.As of right now, these barrels have NOT BEEN TESTED. I will update this once I know that they work.(there are two files here; one is labeled FITSTUBE, which is the version without the secondary airway, that fits an extended steel or brass barrel of the same diameter. The other one will not fit that barrel, only the Scar. I have no idea how feasible a scar without a metal barrel is, but the option's there.)
