Sci Fi City Builder
thingiverse
Hi! This is a futuristic city builder with the same algorithm and customization as my previous design, but with new geometry and style. I call it Sci-Fi because it looks even more futuristic, with planes and ships flying around in your imagination. I've uploaded some STL files with samples generated by testing the algorithm, so you can see how it works. For more information about customization, check out my previous city generator: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1680965 I hope you enjoy this new design! Have fun printing! Print Settings: Printer: BQ Prusa i3 Hephestos Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 or less Infill: 10% or more Notes: No supports are needed! The geometry prints well without them. I tested with PLA at 0.2 resolution and infill acts like supports from inside, which helps the roofs print better. Use 10% or more to avoid holes in the roofs. I use Cura 2.1.2 as my slicer software, and I have some hints for better prints: Use two shells, three top/bottom slices Concentric top/bottom pattern works great for roofs, or add three extra skin wall counts (this is key to avoiding roof holes) Lines as infill pattern reduces filament consumption and helps with grid-like printing Hint: Print a big one! It looks awesome!
