The "Schwedenkreuz" lies in wait at Allensteig within Tobelfeld's hallowed grounds. A massive Templar cross is meticulously etched onto the disc's surface, alongside four round recesses that seem to whisper secrets of a bygone era. The cross had long been lost from view, hidden beneath an adjacent field's verdant cover, until its rediscovery. According to local lore, Swedish warriors rest in eternal slumber beneath the cross itself. In 1645, Allensteig fell under siege at the hands of Swedish forces, who then laid waste to the village with reckless abandon. Homes were plundered and reduced to smoldering rubble as Swedish soldiers poured a concoction of boiling liquid manure down farmers' unwilling throats.
