Schumacher Atom Steering arm encasement
thingiverse
I'm planning to test the durability of steering arms using these methods. First, I'll print and then secure them in place using epoxy. To assemble, I used ultra long ball joints and a 12mm button screw from underneath into the outside hole. A regular nut and lock-tight will be needed for the axle since nylock nuts no longer fit. If you have any success or failure stories, please let me know along with your suggestions. The last picture shows my steering arms after an evening of racing. You can see all my crashes from one race on this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-BlfklAce0 Here are my print settings: Printer: Malyan M180 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 50% Notes: Printed in ABS, there is a slight gap intentionally left so that it can be filled with epoxy.
