I assume no liability for any damage you may cause to your new helmet with this modification. All changes are made at the user's own risk. Recently, I purchased a Schuberth C4 Pro helmet. It's an excellent lid that comes equipped with various built-in communication features like speakers and a microphone, but it doesn't include the actual comms electronics itself, which would cost another £150-£200. Since this wasn't what I wanted, I decided to find a way to plug in my existing equipment. Schuberth stated that using a wired connection isn't possible, even with their £200 comms package. So, I chose to figure it out for myself. To my surprise, I discovered that Gildardo had already started working on this project, which is what I've based my remix on. My version is slightly thinner and has some plastic trimmed off to avoid catching on things. You'll need to sand the model to get a proper fit. Whatever you do, don't insert this module all the way into the helmet slot without a way to remove it again or at least sanding it enough for a loose fit. I recommend creating a small tab of black tape looped around the central crossbar so you can pull out the module. Looking at the model from the front (with the socket on the top right), the wiring is as follows: * Unused, leading to the battery compartment * Unused, leading to the battery compartment * Right Speaker Gnd (Black) * Right Speaker Signal (White) * Right Speaker Gnd (Black) * Left Speaker Signal (Green) * Microphone Gnd (Black) * Microphone Signal (Red) You could leave out the last two for the mic if you only want speakers. The socket is a 4-pin, 3.5mm audio jack. This is a work in progress and needs further refinement/testing. Print it using support.
