My wife teaches at a primary school, and one of the goals for these kids is to learn to read the time from a clock (understanding the basics of time, helps). So I was asked to make a basic clock. A too complex example had a nice feature; a little clockwork moved the hour hands while rotating the minute hands. Reduction of 12:1. I think I can reproduce that.
