Schmidt Style Coupling (parametric)
thingiverse
This device transmits rotational power between two axles, ensuring parallel movement while accommodating relative motion. It outperforms a double cardan joint in load capacity and has adjustable pin clearance for better functionality. Inspired by a Thingiverse design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14060), it serves as a drive for a moineau pump model (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28237). The connector pieces feature automated optimal length selection, and you'll need 20 parts in total, including 6 types - 2 outertricrosses, 1 innertricross, 6 connectors, 6 short pins, 3 long pins, and 2 main pins. Note that the machine is not yet a complete working model, so customization for your specific application is required; if using the customizer, do not publish your changes. Also, the main pin has a symmetric standard length when a 2mm thick washer is added.
