The 1882 is a 7.5mm, 6-shot double-action design with lineage to the French 1873 model. It's an exceptionally well-made gun and has several nice features. It features a rebounding hammer that allows safe carrying of all six chambers loaded. It also uses the Abadie gate-loading system, which disconnects the trigger from the hammer when the loading gate is opened. This lets the trigger be used to quickly index the cylinder between chambers during loading and unloading. For gate-loading wheelguns, it's the fastest type to load and unload. The gun also has a hinged sideplate that opens with the removal of a single captive screw, providing easy access to all internal parts - which are numbered in their disassembly order for help.
