You see the condition of the Wächtersbach Castle in summer 2016 before renovation and transformation into a new city hall for the city of Wächtersbach. This is a strongly generalized 3D model, which was derived from a detailed and highly accurate 3D point cloud consisting of 240 million points. To create this point cloud, 5,000 high-resolution digital photos were captured with multicopter and system camera and photogrammetrically evaluated. Through the surveying measurement of 50 reference points in the castle's surroundings and facade, the 3D point cloud could be accurately located to within a few centimeters.
