This is the majestic central building of the Palace of Salzdahlum. Between the twin towers and the grand entrance, one can see the palace standing proudly. The Palace of Salzdahlum was situated near Wolfenbüttel in present-day Lower Saxony. It housed a magnificent art collection belonging to the Dukes of Brunswick, which is now displayed at the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum. Unfortunately, the Palace of Salzdahlum was constructed using half-timbering techniques on a soggy meadow, causing it to deteriorate rapidly over time. The upkeep costs were exorbitant, leading to its eventual demolition in 1813. However, remnants of the palace can still be seen in the town of Salzdahlum today.
