Schilling T4 Jaw Assembly

A 1:1 scale 3D printed Schilling T4 jaw assembly was created for the 2014 AOG trade show in Perth, Western Australia. The T4 jaw design was redrawn in Solidworks and adapted to include a hand grip for manual operation. The STL file was printed on an Objet Connex 350 3D printer using Vero blue and Tango Black rubber grip materials; the printing process took 33 hours. Upon completion, the assembly was removed from the printer and cleaned of support structures to ensure smooth operation when opening and closing. O-rings placed in the handle provided the necessary return action force.
