Bell from a wreck out of the Baltic Sea. The well-preserved bell has a side height of 30 cm. The sharpening diameter is 31 cm. The four-part crown is 5 cm high. Shoulder and flank of the bell are decorated with floral ornaments. On the lower part of the flank, there is an inscription: ME FECIT GERHARDT MEYER ANNO 1706. Below it is the crowned monogram of King Charles XII of Sweden visible. Gerdt Meyer, a bronze caster of German origin, received in 1641 the full authority to work as royal casting master in Stockholm. His grandson Gerhardt Meyer the Elder led the family business from 1695 to 1710 and was probably responsible for casting the ship's bell.
