Depot for Soil Finds Nijmegen - Flint Dagger Dating: 2500 B.C. This dagger was found in the ground layers attributed to early iron age, but it is likely much older than that. Perhaps it was reused, important in a time when not everything was always available. It is unlikely that the dagger was a burial gift or part of a settlement, as evidence of this has not been found. Therefore, it is assumed that this late Neolithic dagger was lost by its owner or deliberately left behind to be stored there. The dagger was no stabbing weapon. Both sides are carved, indicating that it was an object used for something. More information: https://erfgoedgelderland.nl/schatkamers-van-gelderland/
