Arnhem Museum - Vaas Dating: 1915 This elegant art nouveau vase was produced in the Arnhemsche Fayencefabriek. Brothers Klaas and Jacob Vet started this factory in 1907, after their first factory in Purmerend burned down a year earlier. They took their best employees to Arnhem and began a factory for high-quality ceramic decorative items and tableware. The Arnhemsche Fayencefabriek quickly gained national and international fame and is an example of the importance that the high-end industry had in early 20th-century Gelderland.
