The Voerman Museum in Hattem - A Cloke Beaker from a Grave\nDating Back to 2400-1900 BC.\nThe discovery of this cloke beaker and scale in 2012 during an investigation in the Assenrade neighborhood of Hattem was significant. It was not just a singular find, but rather an entire grave was uncovered. Since there was no evidence of a mound over the grave, we can infer that the deceased person held a low social status. In contrast, individuals with high social status were given mounds to signify their importance. The time period in which this grave was formed is estimated to be between approximately 2400-1900 BC, known as the Cloke Beaker Culture. Several graves from this culture have been discovered, but these artifacts are remarkable due to their exceptional condition.
