This bobbin is designed specifically for use with the Schacht Sidekick spinning wheel, although it may also work on other wheels as well. The bobbin consists of three parts: two discs and a tube. The parts are secured together using threads to prevent permanent gluing. ### Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Layer height: 0.2 mm Raft: no #### The discs - Support: yes - Both discs can be printed with the larger area on the print bed for minimal support - There is a small 2mm gap between the print bed and the start of the threads; support material helps to avoid printing in-air - Infill: 20% #### The tube - Support: no - Infill: 100% ### Post-Printing 1. The tube itself is mostly hollow, but the two holes for the flyer shaft need to be drilled open using an 8.1mm drill after they have been printed. Then use a bit of type 600 sandpaper to smooth out the inner surface of the drill hole. 2. If the discs wobble, make sure that all support material is removed and that the discs are screwed tightly onto the tube. ### Legal & Acknowledgements Schacht Sidekick is an officially registered name of Schacht Spindle Company. The sheep head embellishment is based on an icon made by Freepik from flaticon.com that is licensed under CC 3.0 BY.
