Scarab God Magic the Gathering Token Cover
prusaprinters

This is a cover to place over a Magic: the Gathering card that has been reanimated as a token by the scarab god! It leaves the name, art, and rules text uncovered, but covers up and replaces the creatures type and power/toughness.

The overall dimensions are 67mmx91mm, which is the online listed dimensions of the Dragon Shield sleeves I typically use, though the finished product looks to be slightly smaller than the sleeves I have so a bit of the sleeves shows through on the edges. This size is also slightly larger than the 63mmx88mm size of an unsleeved Magic: the Gathering card, so it should completely cover the edges of unsleeved cards

The cover is 2 mm tall in total, 1 mm for the body and another 1 mm for the text. If you want a thinner cover to fit this in your deck box without taking up as much space, I recommend scaling the height to 60%: 0.6mm for the body and another 0.6 mm for the text. One of the pictures shows a comparison of the 60% height (left) vs. the 100% height (right).

For earlier prints, I just painted over the letters with white paint. For later prints, I put a pause in the gcode and manually swapped out filament for a color change.

Prints in the pictures were printed on my Ender 3 with a 0.4mm nozzle and a layer height of 0.2mm.
