Scanned Heads
thingiverse
This is a scan of Odessa, Sam, and Mark who were scanned as an experiment using 123d Catch. We printed them as big as possible and airbrushed them to perfection. Print Settings: Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer Model: Rostock MAX Rafts: No rafts needed Supports: Supports aren't necessary Resolution: A high resolution of .2 layers was used Infill: 0% infill was chosen for a smooth finish Notes: I utilized a 1.5 mm thick shell and printed with no supports, resulting in a flawless print. If you're using a slicer, consider cutting the models in half at the nose to achieve better printing results. Post-Printing: Refining the Sculpt: You may need to use body filler to fill in any cracks that appear during the refining process. Next, create a mold with plaster and alginate, allowing for lifecasting without direct contact.
