Scanned 3D Female Hand

To create a functional prosthetic hand, the right hand of a helpful model was scanned for realism during development. The young adult female, who uses a left-hand prosthesis, provided her right hand for scanning. Measurements were taken, including wrist circumference (15cm), forearm width (9cm), and finger lengths, all within 0.5-1cm accuracy. However, nail polish reflections affected finger tips' appearance, which was rectified in geomagics. A higher resolution raw data version exists but contains scanning process holes. Measurements of the hand include wrist to finger tips distances, circumferences, and finger widths for further reference.
