#COFFEE TABLE REVOLUTION One day, I envisioned a coffee table in a bustling restaurant with friends, and my imagination ran wild with creative possibilities. I conceptualized a table design that was both elegant and achievable by anyone. My initial thought process began with the assumption that individuals seeking a Scandinavian Nordic style coffee table would have to break the bank. But why not rethink this approach? Why not create a coffee table from oak spars and coins, assembled using 3D printing technology? This cost-effective solution makes the entire project viable. I then studied various shapes and designs, sketching out ideas on a corner of the tablecloth. After much contemplation, I arrived at a unique form that was both flexible and capable of supporting substantial loads without relying on metal reinforcements. To further enhance my design, I incorporated oval glass trays with 10mm thickness and 1200mm diameter axes. These standard dimensions can be easily sourced from retailers for a minimal cost. Last year, I successfully brought this concept to life by creating a prototype. With slight modifications to my original plans based on valuable experience gained, the assembly process was significantly streamlined. In reality, building this coffee table requires only a few screws, approximately 6m of oak spars, and access to a 3D printer. I'm thrilled to share this innovative design with you, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
