Scan Stand

My aim is to store and distribute the projects of my math students. I'm scanning their tests, quizzes and assignments and then storing them in a shared Google Docs folder. To save me time from manually scanning this work, I expect each student to use their own smartphones or our "classroom" scanner. One benefit of this plan is that it ensures the iPod's safety and accessibility since it's connected to the Wi-Fi network. This way students won't have to use their personal data plans for internet access. I'm making good use of several reliable scanner apps that come with either free versions or paid upgrades, like Scanner Pro, which I've also downloaded along with AirScanner. The latter converts our document camera setup into a wireless scanning device that sends images straight to any browser. Print Settings include rafts: Doesn't Matter, Supports: Doesn't Matter, and Notes regarding required materials including an iPod touch (5th generation or older iPhone), 4 clear acrylic sheets measuring 1/8"x12"x12", one dark acrylic sheet of the same dimensions for contrast during scanning, 1 birch plywood sheet at 1/8"x12"x12" size and a handful of bolts along with their respective washers and nuts to keep the iPod snug on top.
