Summary: A Tribute to MakerBot for the #gnomeremix Flash Challenge. Download and print a unique tribute to MakerBot that sparks conversation about open source versus greed while staying friends. To improve my "printability score," I made changes to this design. The base was not level, so it's fixed in version 2, and the briefcase handle was too weak, moved closer to his foot, fixed in version 3. This image was printed with the following settings: PLA, 0.1mm layer thickness 0.7mm wall thickness 0.4mm top/bottom layer thickness 10% fill density 50mm/sec printing speed 195°C temperature 0.35mm nozzle size Approximately 6 hours of printing time using Cura 13.06.4 Type A machine S1 was used to print this design. Notes: Briefcase broke, fixed in version 3 of the STL.
