Scalpel Truss Handle - Size 3
thingiverse
I modified Qjr's no. 4 scalpel handle to suit my needs better. The updated design accommodates the more widely used size 3 scalpel blades. Still surprisingly durable and flexible in PETG, this version retains its excellent performance characteristics. I printed these at a high infill setting of 100%, with a layer thickness of 0.1mm and a nozzle diameter of 0.4mm. The trusswork features a robust wall thickness of 0.5mm. To enhance the usability of this version, I made several adjustments to ensure smooth operation. The blade now slides in nicely, requiring only light pressure from pliers to secure it fully. However, I avoided making any significant changes that might compromise its overall stability. It's essential to note that these handles are not sterile and can potentially break if mishandled. When installing, using, or replacing the blades, exercise extreme caution to avoid accidental cuts.
