Scalpel case
cults3d
This is the scalpel carrying and storage case we've been working on for quite some time now. The idea is to create a case capable of holding one, three or five scalpels securely and safely. It must be safe and hold the scalpels firmly enough to fit in a bag or pocket without it opening or breaking. We tested this with various scalpels and blades. It will fit most scalpels, including Swann-Morton no 3, as well as a number of unbranded ones. A version for Swann-Morton no 4 or other types will be uploaded upon request. Make sure your print has strong layer adhesion and is robust enough to withstand the forces it must endure before tossing it in a bag or somewhere it might cause harm if broken. Scalpels are designed to cut through flesh, so be extremely cautious. This case is the result of our scalpel tray study, which can be found at https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/scalpel-tray. We're already making significant progress on version two. This model is specifically designed to be printed with both parts standing upright. Clean away the small supports underneath the pivot points and gently snap them together. Also, this case will probably never be sterile. But if you (for a second) wanted it to be for some reason, you probably already knew that.
