Scalextric Slot Car Track Borders and Barrier/Fence System
thingiverse
**UPDATED** Created a new Border Clip design, which performs significantly better. Border Clip New.stl. The purpose of this design is to create borders for all common Scalextric track pieces while minimizing filament usage and print time. Each border piece should be printed upside down. Border pieces can be printed with: - 0% infill - 0 solid top layers - 3-4 solid bottom layers - 3 outline/shell perimeters The R3 and R4 borders and fences are designed for a 300x300mm print bed, such as the Creality CR-10. If there is sufficient demand, I can design half pieces that can be printed on smaller printers, but this is not currently a priority. To connect to track pieces, "Border Clip Medium/Bigger" pieces are required. Two sizes are available due to variations in printer output and border wall thicknesses. Print several of each size to determine which works best. If you need larger or smaller clips, try scaling by a small amount. It is crucial that the "Border Clip Medium/Bigger" pieces are printed on their side for added strength. Once you have printed a few "Border Clip Medium/Bigger" pieces with taller fences, use small zip ties to connect each fence together at the top. This will provide additional strength and prevent the fences from coming apart when hit at full speed. Also included is a side mount holder for the ARC PRO controllers.
