Scalextric Johnson 111 to Mabuchi Motor Adaptor Slot Car

This adapter allows for the use of a modern Mabuchi motor in place of the Johnson 111 motor in vintage Scalextric models. Spare parts for the Johnson 111 motor are extremely hard to find, but the Mabuchi motor is easily sourced and offers much better performance. The adapter is designed to mount on each end of the Mabuchi motor and fit into the mounting clips used for the Johnson 111 motor. Unfortunately, Scalextric did produce their own version of this adapter, but it's no longer in production and very hard to obtain. The object needs to be positioned to print vertically, as this produces the cleanest shape to the recessed areas that mount onto the motor. There is a small support block under the mounting 'ring' that must be cut off with a sharp knife before installing into the car. Hopefully, this will help others get their vintage Scalextric cars back on track!
