Please click on LIKE.This is a set of files for printing your own scales for the Spyderco Lil' Native folding knife. If you want scales with the latest, and more feature full version of my design, you can find them on Etsy: https://sharpscaledesigns.etsy.com/The files without a "-PATTERN" suffix are plain. The ones with the suffix have a pattern designed into the grip. Note: In order to get the multi-color effect, you have to change filaments while printing. In Cura you would add a plugin and configure it to pause for a filament change at the correct layer (14, if you are using .25mm layer height). If you have ideas for other (simple) patterns, just leave a comment with them. The design of these scales follows that of the originals pretty closely, though I plan on offering additional versions with other features and differences later on. Unlike my Spyderco Para 3 scales, though, these are .5mm thicker than stock because it was needed for strength around the bolts.I've printed with 3 different manufacturers' PLA, as well as in PETG, and they all fit fine, but you might have some issues with fit if your printer is not as calibrated as mine (or if it is better calibrated than mine...), so you might need to make minor adjustments with a knife (which, presumably, you have already). Please post some photos if you print them and use them - even if only temporarily. You can easily get away with printing at 30% infill, like those scales in the photos, but I'd recommend 100% infill once you have verified that the scales fit when printed from your printer. The "Show" scale is the side where the Spyderco logo is on the blade, and the "Back" is where the clip is found for right-handed users (though in some of the photos the clip is configured for a left-handed person). No matter which way you print these, you will need supports. With Cura 5, at least, 45% zig-zag pattern regular supports (not tree) worked out well, as they were easy to remove. If you flip the objects over 180 degrees, you will need fewer supports and they will print quicker, but I think you get a better effect with the design facing upwards.
