I'm excited to share with you the first of many scale figures I've created for my 00 train layout. To bring these figures to life, I start by assembling them in MakeHuman, where I set up the armature and clothing, along with a basic pose that will serve as the foundation for the final model. Next, I import the figure into Blender, where I refine the pose and make any necessary adjustments to ensure it fits perfectly with the surrounding items on my layout. To achieve this, I often import other elements that will be used in conjunction with the printed figure, allowing me to visualize how everything will come together. Once I'm satisfied with the final pose, I export the model from Blender and import it into my CAD software, where I convert all of the components into solids and orientate them on the supports for printing. This process ensures that the models are properly supported during the printing process, which is especially important when working with complex designs. When it comes to printing these scale figures, I rely on my Wanhoa D7 printer, which offers exceptional resolution and detail. With a print resolution of 0.035mm, I'm able to achieve incredibly fine details that bring my models to life. For this particular model, I used Monocure standard grey resin, which provides a smooth, high-quality finish. To get the best results from my printer, it's essential to calibrate it correctly for the specific resin being used. In this case, I had to set my Wanhoa D7 to accommodate the properties of Monocure standard grey resin, ensuring that the print settings were optimized for the best possible outcome.
