Scale Tennis Racket (Racquet)
thingiverse
They asked me to make a tennis racket ornament for some friends who love tennis. I designed it to be the perfect size, allowing for easy string changes at 1:8 scale. The DBTC racket featured a sign that was added on top of it. The files provided are just the racket with bare strings. One file is in 1:18 scale and printed in silver, showcasing what can be achieved with a .40 nozzle on a printer. This should be split along the grip, which is wider than the frame, and then glued back together. I prefer to split the strings all on one side unless it's larger than 1:8 scale, in which case splitting down the middle might work better with both sides printed. Try making two colors or just one - feel free to resize and split to your heart's content! Multiple files are included at different scales (1:5, 1:8, 1:10, 1:12, 1:18). All are from the same Fusion 360 file, with string widths optimized for 1:5 and 1:10 scales using a .40 nozzle. I printed this at 1:8 scale with a .20 resolution and the 1:18 scale with a .10 resolution. Check out the 'original files' to see the actual proportions - the thumbnail versions are slightly squashed.
