The cockpit kit features seats that I specifically designed for an 1:8 scale Lynx model which I am currently building as a Norwegian Lynx Mk86. These seats can be easily scaled up or down to fit various scales, such as scaling up to 1:6 by resizing them to 133%. When assembled correctly, the mechanism for raising and lowering the seat functions smoothly, although it only stays in place due to friction. To achieve an accurate scale look, use 19 mm (3/4") fabric ribbon around the top of the seat and attach it to the back of the "pillow" using glue. To simulate the wire housing between the harness reel and harness locking lever, insert a length of thin electrical wire. When shaping the flat seat part, gently heat it with a heat gun before bending as shown in the illustration. For assembly, use CA glue. I recommend using cut-down brass nails for the hinge points and thin piano wire to connect the bell cranks on the left side of the seat adjusting mechanism. A good color match for the Lynx interior grey is Army-Paint.com's "Flat Battleship Grey" (RAL 7031). The version with a headrest is suitable for the Norwegian RNOAF Lynx Mk86.
