Extruder 1.75mm for Scalar 3D printers This thing is the updated 1.75mm version of the Extruder used on Scalar 3D printers. The arm idler from the 3mm version can be easily reused. A new lever has been added to this version, allowing you to pull or push the filament through the extruder with ease. It's fully compatible with both Bowden and Direct Drive versions. This model is designed for use with either Bowden or direct driver configurations on Scalar 3D printers. To convert this extruder to a Direct Drive setup on your Scalar 3D printer, you'll need to print an adapter based on this thing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1215618 You will need to print the one that matches your hotend type (E3D, AllInone, etc....) A pneumatic push-to-fit connector can be mounted at the top of the extruder body. This connector fits 4mm outer diameter and 2mm inner diameter PTFE tubes (most commonly used with 1.75mm filament). The compatible thread is a standard 1/8" BSPT.
