Scalable multitool pouch/sheath
thingiverse
This is a scalable pouch design for a Leatherman Wave, which I have been creating for over 25 years. The current version replaces a lost one, and I am sharing the digital file here on Thingiverse. Though not CNC-specific, the file is scalable in Inkscape. A construction video will follow. To use, select the pattern in the middle and scale X and Y according to your multitool's dimensions (Leatherman Wave is 4" x 1.5" x 0.5"). Add a 3/8" seam allowance and cut from heavy materials like ballistic nylon or canvas. Cut reinforcement, webbing, and velcro to the scaled lengths, keeping standard 3/4" width for most tools. Fold, finish edges, attach webbing and velcro, then sew long edges. In use, the long strap goes behind your belt, over the cross-ways webbing, attaching to the top flap and velcro, allowing easy on/off without removing your belt. It can also be secured through a belt loop for stability during movement. A video demonstration is forthcoming.
