Igus bearing hole size is 16mm after shrinkage, perfectly fitting my 15.8mm Igus bearing with a precise 1mm gap for secure clamping onto the bearing. This pressure application is necessary for proper Igus bearing function, preventing any unwanted wobble on the 8mm smooth rod due to small amounts of play. Additionally, this design allows for space on the drive belt side by maintaining a low profile. Printed using ABS or PETG ensures no deformation occurs if you decide to enclose your printer at a later date, making PLA an acceptable alternative. M4 bolts and nuts (hole size 4.2mm) are recommended for secure fastening. The standard LM8UU block design is based on the diagram shown. The double Igus bearing block features a 50mm gap between centers (outside holes), accommodating both my Anet A8 and E3D printed hotend. Designed in Google Sketchup, the files are included with this description. Please give credit when remixing these files or design.
