SBM-20 Probe

SBM-20 Probe

I have created this SBM-20 geiger counter tube housing with the goal of making it easy and fast to print, in just two pieces! I made a single print, undoubtedly the design can be improved, but even in its current state, I find it very solid. If there are improvements, I will update the design, if you have suggestions, contact me, I would be truly happy! I hope the photos are explanatory enough. Unable to find any suitable connector for connecting the probe to the cable (RG58), I thought of wrapping the wire around the poles and blocking it with adhesive tape. This solution seems to ensure good solidity and is probably the most immediate and economical. All screws are M3 with a conical head, in my case they are brass, and can be screwed directly into the existing seats. The screws must be long enough to provide more grip. For secure fixation of the cable, I recommend using cyanoacrylate glue. WARNING! Material and geometry certainly affect the functioning of the probe. WARNING! I assume no responsibility for damage to people, animals, and property. Involuntary use can cause serious damage and I strongly advise against using these objects if you are not fully aware of what you are doing. It is pointed out that this publication is for informational purposes only. Thanks!!
